The service

RedactKit is an online service at redactkit.com that redacts PDF files and removes their metadata inside your web browser. It is provided on a best-efforts basis and is not a substitute for your own professional judgement. Check results before relying on them.

Credits

Credits are sold in packs (10 documents for £5, 50 documents for £15), paid once through Stripe. One credit buys one document. Credits never expire. Because a credit is digital content delivered at once, you agree it starts straight away and you lose the right to cancel once a credit is used. Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase: email hello@redactkit.com.

Use

Only use files you have the right to use. Don't try to get around the free limits or the payment system, or overload the service.

Checking your redactions

RedactKit finds text by pattern and draws the boxes you set, and it checks the exported file for remaining text. It cannot know what you consider sensitive, and search cannot see words inside images or scans. Review every page of the exported file before you share it.

Liability and law

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we exclude liability for consequential loss. These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
